The money line of the correspondence comes when Russell Laughlin of Hillwood says, "If our state leaders do not identify the funds needed for this project, we will face at least another decade of stagnating gridlock and further jeopardize our communities’ economic development and quality of life."
I put information about what Hillwood is at the bottom of the received email. 35W Coalition is described as a nonprofit transportation advocacy group. Its 2010 Officers are:Russell Laughlin, President (Hillwood Properties); Barney Holland, Treasurer(Barney Holland Oil Company);
Gail Cooksey, Secretary (Cooksey Communications).

Subject: Take Action Now - Urgent Support Needed for I-35W Corridor
At yesterday’s 35W Coalition quarterly meeting, you heard me say that we are very close to closing the deal on advancing the improvements to I-35W and the I-35W/I-820 interchange reconstruction.
To get over the goal line, we need our elected officials to secure and allocate $287.5 million to fully fund the rebuilding of this critical corridor. We need your help today in communicating that message to our state leaders.
On the 35W Coalition homepage, http://www.35wcoalition.com/, you will find a “Take Action Now” button that takes you to our Grassroots Action Center. Here you can send an email or letter directly to your elected officials.
Or, we have attached a draft letter for you to edit and send using the contacts provided. Please feel to call your legislators as well to alert them of your position.
If our state leaders do not identify the funds needed for this project, we will face at least another decade of stagnating gridlock and further jeopardize our communities’ economic development and quality of life.
The 35W Coalition is counting on you, and I am personally counting on you to represent the voice of local businesses.
Thank you for your support.
