Voting on Selling Bonds in my town Richardson Texas, My Opinon

Posts this week will be mainly about the Richardson TX bond.

I'm practical with my money. Too much debt at one time is unhealthy no matter how it's sliced, packaged and sold.

Worth reading,

REGARDING THE PROPOSED CITY OF RICHARDSON SPRING 2010 BOND PACKAGE:

The individuals listed immediately below, who all have experience as elected representatives on the City of Richardson Council, are not in favor of the proposed COR Spring 2010 Bond Package.

Each of them believe that there are infrastructure needs within the City, but taking on additional debt in this manner at this time, in the amount proposed and under this packaging without sufficient controls and disclosures in place, would not be prudent. The proposal as packaged requires the City to acquire additional debt that would raise the current COR property tax rate by over 10%.
